The UAE is ranked 20th in the world for having the highest number of billionaires. Dubai has 18 of them.
According to the latest Hurun Global Rich List, the UAE has the highest number of billionaires in North Africa region and Middle East. The UAE is home to 24 who control $69.2 billion (Dh254 billion) wealth.
Among the richest people of the UAE, seven are UAE nationals with a wealth of $27.1 billion. The remaining 17 are expats from other nationalities controlling $42.1 billion assets. The wealth of UAE’s 11 billionaires dropped while the wealth of eight grew last year. Here is a list of UAE billionaires.

The 37-year-old Divyank Turakhia of media.net, who owns $1.9 billion, and 40-year-old Khaleefa Butti bin Omair Al Muhairi of NMC Health, with $1.2 billion fortune, are the youngest billionaires of the UAE. The owner of Mashreq Bank, Saif Al Ghurair and family, are the oldest billionaires in the UAE, owning $1.2 billion worth of assets. Al Ghurair passed away last year at the age of 95.
Dubai has 18 billionaires. Among global cities, Dubai was ranked 25th which has the highest number of individuals with ultra-high net worth. Saudi Arabia is the 30th city in the world with 10 billionaires in 2019.
