This 10 year long visa the first of its kind in the world was designed exclusively for experts in the environmental science field and renewable energy. Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director-General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, highlighted how this initiative aligns with the "We the Emirates 2031" vision:"Blue Residency is designed to enhance security, quality of life, and economic growth in the UAE. The application process is digital and smart, allowing applicants to easily apply through the government’s website and mobile app."
