There is no denying in the fact that UAE is among those countries placing a premium on the well-being of its people and doing its best to provide a high-quality and high-standard life for its residents. In order for this target to be attained, UAE authorities try to set new laws or change the existing ones. One of these actions recently taken by UAE authorities was adopting the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 in order to improve the quality of life in the UAE.

Well-being of UAE Residents at The First Place

The meeting over this subject was done by the UAE Cabinet including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice and Prime Ministers of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai at the Presidential Palace located in Abu Dhabi.

Other participants in this meeting included General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of presidential affairs.

The National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 includes a number of strategic objectives and initiatives which have several goals that the most prominent one is to make UAE a world leader in quality of life, and another one is to promote the combined concept of well-being in this rich middle-eastern country.

More About the UAE National Strategy for Wellbeing

The strategy works on 3 main levels of individuals, society and the country. To be exact, it consists of 14 components and nine objectives trying to promote the quality of life through providing a healthy and active lifestyle, promoting good mental health and increase positive thinking.

As brought on khaleejtimes.com, the strategy includes 90 supporting initiatives targeting more than 40 areas in order to improve.

A part of this strategy which merits serious consideration is the development of the first National Wellbeing Observatory to support the policymaking process. It will check a number of indicators for well-being in the UAE, submit regular reports to the UAE authorities, propose training programs for those working for the government, and formation of a national well-being council in order to manage and observe the national strategy.

Also, there are a number of federal decisions and laws including amendments aimed to protect the right of inventors and property rights that the UAE Cabinet has adopted in order for UAE’s economy to move toward a knowledge-based innovative economy.

The adaptation also includes protecting the health of UAE residents from Genetically Modified Organisms or their products. The environment also will be protected from these kinds of products which are being used globally.

These were merely a brief explanation about what UAE government has set its mind on, meaning that the UAE will be a world leader in providing the best quality of life in not-too-distant future, and the world should expect a perfect version of this country.
