Sheikh Zayed Road is possibly Dubai‘s most commercial and busy road in terms of the flow of people around the street at all hours. Whether it is tourists or locals, the busy street is occupied with people round the clock. The busy street entails all the recreation opportunities for visitors be it fine dining and eating, activities for children, hang-out places for adults or feel-good wholesome fun places for families, the bustling street is equipped with all.
However, in lieu of the approaching Expo 2020, its quite widely known that Dubai is going through some major upgrades, shifts and renditions to become the best version of itself as a metropolis. It is due to this reason that several construction and development projects have been going on within the city. Approximately just a year away from now, Expo 2020 preparations are in full swing with all such projects being initiated within different Emirates.
Hence, the new bridge on Sheikh Zayed Road has been opened by RTA- Roads and Transport Authority Dubai that will facilitate the improvement of Latifa Bint Hamdan and Umm Al Sheif streets from the Al Safa junction to the Al Manara junction. This double decker bridge will link Jumeirah with Al Khail Road, First Al Khail Road and Al Asayel Road and will direct traffic from Umm Al Sheif Street to Al Wasl Street and Sheikh Zayed Road up to Latifa Bint Hamdan Street.
This will mark as the first phase of this project. The Dubai Media Office took it to their twitter handle to make the official announcement on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018.
