Private Sector Holiday for Hijri New Year on Thursday, September 13, 2018.

UAE residents have recently relished a long week of holidays during Eid-Al-Adha and the after effects can still be felt as nobody has quite picked out the working spirit yet. However, it looks like they do not really have to go an extra mile to get into the working mode again as there is yet another long weekend waiting for them!

According to the recent announcement made by Ministry of Human Resources and Emaritisation on their twitter handle, the UAE authorities have announced a holiday on September 13, 2018 for all the private sector companies thus, providing them with a long weekend to relish with families.

The significance of Islamic New Year also known as Hijri New Year is such that this day marks the beginning of a new Islamic or Hijri calendar. The first day of the year is observed on the first day of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar.

Work will be resuming from Sunday, September 16, 2018 for the private as well as the public sector.

We, at dxboffplan.com, wish all the excited residents a happy weekend in advance.
