According to the recent announcement made by Ministry of Human Resources and Emaritisation on their twitter handle, the UAE authorities have announced a holiday on September 13, 2018 for all the private sector companies thus, providing them with a long weekend to relish with families.

The significance of Islamic New Year also known as Hijri New Year is such that this day marks the beginning of a new Islamic or Hijri calendar. The first day of the year is observed on the first day of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar.
