Hay Festival Abu Dhabi is an edutainment treat for reading and writing lovers that will be held next year at Manarat Al Saadiyat and other venues across Abu Dhabi. The festival includes ideas, arts and literature. It will take place in Abu Dhabi on February 24-27, 2020.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, said the festival is the sign of productive collaboration between the people of the UAE and the United Kingdom. He has also said that the festival will show the growing position of Abu Dhabi as an international centre of knowledge, arts and culture.

He believes that this festival epitomizes the values of tolerance as a vital tool to bring the people around the world together in harmony. He also thinks of the UEA as a global society based on the values of coexistence and tolerance.

Besides, he has talked about the importance of sharing ideas, cross-cultural interactions and education. This is the goal of Hay Festival. Finally, he has invited the audiences young and old to four days of Hay Festival. The Hay Festival will include enhance understanding, opening minds and invigorating conversations.

Peter Florence, Hay Festival director, has said that the festival will be the show of “great writing” from across the Arab community, a platform for different voices from different languages and “a meeting place” for dreamers and readers.

Moreover, the festival will include thematic debates as well as literary interviews. In addition, it will deliver educational programs to school students through close collaboration with local schools.

Since 1987, Hay Festival has held 125 festivals around the world. In fact, the festival has attracted more than 4.5 million people to celebrations in 30 locations.
